With cold weather approaching , most of us have started planning our winter wardrobes and maybe even amassing our favorite fall pieces to make sure we get our hands on them before they sell out. Almost all of the stuff I’ve acquired is black or dark grey, which reminds me I need some winter white.

Winter white which is just a warm tone of ivory, but we’ll go with the season-appropriate name  came around as a trend a couple of years ago and never really went away, and it’s a nice alternative to not only the dark colors of fall dressing, but also the outdated rule that one shouldn’t wear white after Labor Day. Burberry always manages to create bags that are functional, which sometimes look really chic and sometimes look really outdated. This Burberry bags probably belongs in the middle since it looks chic yet it also looks a bit behind the times.

We’ve been seeing a lot of this tote from the brand from time to time, which shows Zucca pattern throughout. So those who are not fond of too much branding would more likely not buy this. The thing is, they’ve given this classic a twist, which somehow made it look new. Red star are patterned throughout this burberry handbags and they come in varying sizes as well. I’m not sure if you’ll find it chic, but I really don’t want to stare at it since I’m kind of feeling dizzy with those.

Poking around online today I was looking for more information on the Burberry Prorsum Lambton Shearling Messenger Bag which I picked up yesterday. A reader has also commented that it was already available for sale at Burberry Bags US site.

And while I was checking out Burberry’s UK site this popped up. Also from the Fall-Winter 2010 Mens Burberry Prorsum collection, the Burberry Prorsum Lambton Shearling Hobo Bag . Another gorgeous hunk indeed, the hobo does seem to be more manageable than his much larger brother.

 

First impression? Proenza Schouler. No, I am not accusing anyone of plagarism, I just find it remarkably similar to the clutch that I’m still so obsessed over. Not an exact copy, but if I placed both the Burberry Prorsum Armour Stud Sling Bag (shown above) and Proenza Schouler clutch side by side almost anyone would assume they were the same collection. In other words, a good thing; since this just means that Mr Bailey is getting more and more sophisticated.

Another gorgeous sling bag, this time the Burberry Prorsum Plissé Python Sling Bag. For the uninitiated, the term plissé simply refers to the material being puckered, ruched or folded and in this case, this treatment is applied to the exotic python skin.

Burberry Prorsum Alligator Sling Bag is another one of my personal favourites. Adorned with dome-shaped nail heads and a simple brass buckle clasp, it measures 39 cm by 18 cm. As with all the bags featured in this post, they all come with double straps, of which one is removable.

With its edgy metal hardware and deep navy blue alligator skin, this Armour Stud bag from Burberry handbags is one imposing accessory.

I’m not sure I’d want to carry anything quite this menacing, but it could be just the accessory that edgier girls need to make a style statement. And while I’m not sure it’d work with my wardrobe, I can’t help admiring it. The use of differently shaped and sized studs is inspired, and a great complement to that opulent alligator skin. The geometric design created by the metal accents is another marvel.

Burberry bags has obviously spent a lot of time getting the looks just right, but it’s a shame that it hasn’t paid as much attention to the practicalities. This is a fairly large purse, so its single zippered pocket is left with a lot of responsibility. The addition of a few open pouches would have made organization much simpler.

And while I appreciate the choice of carrying options, it seems a cross-body strap would have made lugging this burberry bags much easier. The shoulder strap is a good start, but I can’t imagine ever using the short handle once this Armour Stud Sling bag is full.

I never expect an authentic alligator skin accessory to come cheaply, but I was still shocked by the price tag attached to this Burberry bag. At $14,500, it’s much too rich for me.
